Must enter password after wakeup even though "don't require a password" is checked
I've gone through all the maneuvers to disable password after wakeup ("don't require password" shows as checked after reboot) yet I still am required to enter a password after wakeup. I am using the default power options. What's the trick to avoid entering this password?

Do you just want to not have to enter a password then? Or ever?
For the "wake-up" part, I know you said you sis this, but to be sure and thorough:
* First open the Control Panel (Click Desktop Icon > Move cursor to the left bottom corner > right click > Select the Control Panel entry)
* Go to Power Options > Click on the "Require password on wakeup" link.
* You shall be prompted to enter the password for the current user account
* In the "Password protection on wakeup" section, select "Don't require a password".
