i put a new motherboard in my pc and windows 8 says it got to be actavated

Can some one help me I put new motherboard in my tower it was on windows 8 it now says ive got to activate windows 8 how do I do that if I have,nt got product key ive got windows 7 disc then up graded to windows 8 then the motherboard went down when I got it up and run with new motherboard that's when it said ive got to activate it .. it saying this windows has been used in another computer????

Which is true... Since you activated it already on an other hardware constellation. But you should have the key. If you just upgraded Windows 7, MS would have sent you the keys in the order confirmation. But in your case, you are still using the same HDD and the key is still the same. Disconnect your PC from the inet. Hit activate. You will be prompt to activate via telephone. Do that and your Windows will be activated again.
