| Starting PowerPoint 2007 from Command Line | How to start PowerPoint 2007 from a command line?
I am a command-line person. Can I start PowerPoint from a command line prompt
and control its behavior with command options?
| | By: fyicenter.com | Yes, you can start PowerPoint 2007 from a command line in 2 ways:
1. Click Start and Run. Then enter "powerpnt options filename" followed by
clicking OK.
2. Start a command line window. Then enter "powerpnt options filename" followed
by the Enter key.
If you have trouble running "powerpnt", you may need to use the full path name of:
"c:\program files\microsoft office\office12\powerpnt"
PowerPoint 2007 supports a number of nice command line options:
- /B - Start PowerPoint with a new blank presentation.
- /EMBEDDING - Start PowerPoint without displaying the Office PowerPoint 2007 program window.
- /N - Start PowerPoint and create a new presentation.
- /P - Print the presentation to the default printer by using default settings.
- /RESTORE - Restore PowerPoint to the way it was before the program closed abnormally.
