Tools Word - Supporting Files of the Filtered Web Page Format

When converting a word document into a Web page using the "Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html)" format, Word 2007 generates one HTML file and many supporting files. The exact number of supporting files generated by Word 2007 depends on how many pictures and objects embedded in the original word document.

For example, I have a word document file called Word_2007_Tutorials_Filtered.docx with one picture and one Excel object embedded inside. When I convert this word document into a Web page, I see 1 HTML file and 2 supporting files generated by Word 2007 as listed below:
