Change Bluetooth Device Name on Windows XP
How to change the Bluetooth device name on your Windows XP system?

If you want to change the Bluetooth device name on your Windows XP system,
you can use the "General" tab on the "Bluetooth Configuration" tool:
1. Turn on the Bluetooth radio as shown in the previous tutorial.
2. Click "Start" > "Control Panel".
3. Double click "Bluetooth Configuration".
4. Click the "General" tab,
5. Change the "Computer Name" value to "MYLAPTOP" as shown below:
6. Review other settings:

This name will be displayed to other Bluetooth devices if this computer is configured to allow itself to be discovered. Select a computer type from drop-down menu. 7. Click "OK" to save the change.
