What is dpc watchdog violation during install?

What in the world is this error??? happens after 2nd or third reboot during install. It tries to fix but goes right back to same message. This is on a dual boot setup. Other option it gives is try other operating system --which just produces running chkdsk. Windows 7 recovery couldn't even fix it, had to reinstall.
