Quicken and windows 8

I installed Windows 8 and now Quicken will not open. It sends me to the apps store but they show nothing available.

How did you install Windows 8? Was it a clean installation or an upgrade? If an upgrade, from what version of Windows was it? It sound like you have a clean installation of Windows 8, and haven't installed Quicken after installing Windows 8. I'm not sure whether Quicken 2008 is compatible with Windows 8, but you can try installing it from the original CD and see for yourself. You may need to buy a newer version which is probably a good idea anyway; yours is now five versions old. You won't find anything for Quicken in the Apps store.
