Internet Explorer (IE) 7 Add-on or BHO Tools?
What are Internet Explorer (IE) 7 add-on tools? What are Browser Helper Objects (BHO)?
✍: FYIcenter.com
Internet Explorer (IE) 7 add on tools are plug-in applications designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer Web browser.
IE add-on tools are also called Browser Helper Object (BHO).
The BHO application programming interface exposes hooks that allow the BHO to access the document object model of the current page and to control navigation. Each BHO is a COM object inside a DLL that is loaded by new instances of Internet Explorer 7. The Google toolbar is an example of a BHO.
