What are dd_vcredist_*.log Temporary Files on my Windows 7 computer? Can I remove them?

dd_vcredist_*.log Temporary Files
are created when Windows is updating
Visual C++ Redistributable Packages on your computer.
They are located
in the \Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Temp folder.
Once a while, Windows tells you that new updates are available and suggests you download and install them. If you follow the suggestion and finish the update, you may see some new dd_vcredist_*.log files with a date and time in the middle of file names.
For example, the following log files were created when Windows updated different Visual C++ Redistributable Packages on your computer:

dd_vcredist_*.log files are text files. You can actually open and read them.
Yes. You can delete older dd_vcredist_*.log Temporary Files files to keep the temporary file folder clean.
