VIDEO_TS - Movie Folder/Directory on DVD Movie Discs
What Is the VIDEO_TS Folder or Directory on a DVD-Video (Movie) Disc?

On a DVD-Video disc, usually a DVD movie disc, you will two folders or directories named as AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. Here is what you will get if you run the DIR command on your DVD drive:
C:\>DIR D: Volume in drive D is DVDVolume Volume Serial Number is 2961-5A81 Directory of D:\ 02/06/2006 09:58 PMAUDIO_TS 02/06/2006 09:58 PM VIDEO_TS 0 File(s) 0 bytes 2 Dir(s) 0 bytes free
VIDEO_TS, stands for "Video Title Set", is the directory that contains movie files. AUDIO_TS, stands for "Audio Title Set", is an empty directory for a DVD-Video (DVD movie) disc. But AUDIO_TS is used to DVD-Audio (Music) discs to store music files.
