As I understand you are facing issue with Microsoft Intellipoint Optical Mouse. It seems to be an issue due to the Windows 8 compatibility, but not to worry we have a workaround for this issue.

Let us try downloading the Windows 7 drivers and then try installing it in Windows 7 compatibility mode; I am sure this will help you resolve the issue.

Step 1: Download the drivers for Windows 7 from the following Microsoft Download link:

Step 2: Install the Driver in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

To install the driver software in Windows 7 compatibility mode, right click the setup file and click Troubleshot compatibility and then select Windows 7 and follow the prompt.
