Q

Can I disable Windows service "System Restore Service" to speedup my computer?

A
Microsoft application service "System Restore Service" - Performs system restore functions. To stop service, turn off System Restore from the System Restore tab in My Computer, Properties, System Restore tab.

Execution command: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

You probably want to use this service to take snapshots of the running system, so that you can restore your system, when you need it. Keep "System Restore Service" running in "Automatic" mode.
