Can I remove startup application "Directcd.exe - Roxio DirectCD Application" to speedup my computer and reduce security risk?

Startup application Directcd.exe is part of the CD burning program, DirectCD, from Roxio. Directcd.exe allows you to drag and drop files onto a suitably formatted CD-RW disc. You should keep it as a startup application, if you using RW CDs frequently.
