Startup application BascsTray.exe is tray bar application
for Broadcom Advanced Control Suite - for modems and set top boxes based upon Broadcom chipsets.

If you want to remove BacsTray.exe from the startup application list to gain performance and reduce security risk,
you can follow this tutorial.
There seems to be no way to use BacsTray's own configuration to remove itself from the startup application list.
So we have to use HijackThis as startup application management tool.
1. Run C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe
2. Click "Do a system scan only".
3. Locate the following entry in the scan report and click Fix Checked.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bacstray] BacsTray.exe
4. Restart your Windows system. |
