How do I find a corrupted media file. It say my windows media player library is corrupted and restarts doing my library. and some of my music files it does no find. It did find them all when I had windows 7 but not 8. See just finished uploading my cd's from my collection on to my pc a few months ago. took me 2 years to do it. have close to 300,000 now and growing. I'm a DJ and use my pc as mixing board, so How do I fix my problem

Method 1: Try re-registering the wmp.dll file.

a. On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).

b. Type regsvr32 wmp.dll and ENTER.

Method 2: Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Windows Media Player:

Step 1.Uninstalling the Windows Media Player:

a. Type Windows Features on the Start Screen.
b. Click on Turn Windows Features On or Off.
c. Browse to the Media Features and uncheck the mark in front of Windows Media Player.
d. Restart the computer.
Step 2.Reinstalling the Windows Media Player:

a. Type Windows Features on the Start Screen.
b. Click on Turn Windows features On or Off.
c. Browse to the Media Features and place a check mark in front of Windows Media Player.
d. Restart the Computer.
