SD card reader not reading properly.
My Windows 8 Dell laptop is not recognizing my SD card when I insert it into the SD/MMC-MS/Pro slot in the laptop. I went through my device manager and everything seemed to be working except a USB port labeled "Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E2D." Not knowing if it had anything to do with the SD card slot not working I tried troubleshooting it anyway and it didn't resolve anything. Simply said it is up to date. The card works with my camera perfectly, so it's not the card but the slot within the laptop. I am now left with a SD card slot that isn't reading correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
2. What happens when you try to connect the SD card, any message?
It looks like the issue might be with the hardware. I would suggest you to check with the manufacturer’s support for more information.
