So basically i had to refresh my laptop due to it not turning on properly.

When I was going to refresh it said it'll keep all my files and my applications.

But now I've finished refreshing all metro apps are gone apart from desktop, store (which won't even work) and internet explorer (which is useless). I can't even download Google Chrome because of something going wrong.

To add to that I can not access my C Drive as it says my access is denied.

What do I do?

A refresh doesn't "technically" keep your metro apps -- it just keeps a list of them and reinstalls them the first time you login again (as long as you sign-in using the same Microsoft account you used before).

Sounds like something has gone astray though. It's likely (but hard to say for sure) that the access issue is what prevented the apps from installing.

I would right-click your C: drive and go to Properties. On the Security tab, under Advanced options, you will want to "take ownership" of the C drive so you can give yourself permissions to it (full control).
