Windows XP Services
What are Windows XP services?
✍: FYIcenter.com
Most Windows XP services are system applications that come with Windows XP system. For example, "Automatic Updates" is a Windows XP service provided as part of the Windows XP system to download and installation of Windows updates automatically.
Other Windows XP services are third party applications installed by yourself. For example, "Apache Tomcat" is a third party application that could be installed by yourself to provide Web site service.
A Windows XP service can be configured to start automatically when Windows XP starts. A Windows XP service can also be configured to start manually.
