Can't connect over WIFI and/or USB internet

Q

I have windows 8 on my HP pavillion 14.
At first I was able to connect to the internet over wifi, suddenly I can no longer detect wifi connections, eventhough I have one. I ignored it, because I was able to find a replacement connection. I connect my Iphone to my laptop and it act as my internet for awhile. Suddenly, It stopped doing that too!
This is how it looks like now

You might experience network or Internet connection issues in Windows for a number of reasons. Some common issues that can cause these problems are:

•A wireless network adapter switch that's not enabled.

•WEP, WPA, or WPA2 security key or passphrase issues.

•Cables that aren't connected properly.
•Corrupted or incompatible drivers.
•Missing updates.
•Network connection settings.
•Hardware or software problems.

Ensure that the computer is near the wifi hotspot.
Ensure that there is no obstruction between the wifi hotspot and the computer.
