Grandma needs help with 'sysdata.xml' problem

Q

I purchased a computer 18 months ago that started shutting down unexpectedly after 12 months. No error messages. I went back to the supplier who could not find cause after replacing power source and me installing surge protection. He replaced computer and transferred data via Acronis. The shutdowns kept happening but now I get the message that Microsoft has deceted a problem and is restarting the computer. When I look in the details, I can see each time there is the same message but with different numerals e.g. WER-96377-0 sysdata.xml. I emailed this to the supplier who is currently ignoring me. I ran a Malware scan and a CCleaner scan. I tried to find the file but it is not visible. I googled the file details and see that it is a problem with others. I have no hope of understanding or fixing this problem myself. What I want to know is this something I should pursue with the technician who sold me this nightmare? Why is it happening? Is it his fault or mine? I'm really lost here, oh and frustrated too, I could really do with some advice on how to proceed.

That sounds like a blue screen error and if that is the case the minidump files from the errors may help.

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site?

Here's a couple of links on using OneDrive (SkyDrive):

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time
