How Can I Avoid Logging in to Windows EVERY TIME I Open My Computer
I want to turn on my computer and have my desktop appear, but OH NO, I always get the input your password page. HOW the heck can I get this to stop?
Where is the box that AOL has: "save password" so I don't have to log in every single time to AOL.
I'm so frustrated I could SCREAM. Some guy on another thread said to press the Windows Logo Key plus enter i (lower case i). You get a page and at the bottom is Change PC Settings ... Click on that and then choose Accounts. However once there, there is no way to follow his directions of choosing a local setting. AAARGH.
So HOW can I turn on my computer and have my desktop appear without that hideous sign in page????? Anyone.
I have Windows 8.

1. Remove password from your account, then the logon is to take place automatically.
2. Call up "Run..." dialog by pressing the Windows key and [R], type netplwiz and [Enter].
Uncheck the "Users must enter..." checkbox and give the credential.
To automatically show your desktop instead of the Start page, you are to have your OS upgraded to 8.1.
