| Router IP Addresses | | If you are using a wireless router to connecting to the Internet through a DSL modem, how many IP addresses are used in this connection? | | By: FYIcenter.com | | If your computer is connected to a wireless router, which is connected to the Internet through a DSL modem, there are probably 4 dynamic IP addresses used to form 2 networks.
The first network is between the DSL provider server and the Internet interface of the wireless router, which uses 2 IP addresses, like 192.168.2.10 and 192.168.2.1.
The second network is between the wireless interface of the wireless router and your Window system, which uses another 2 IP addresses, like 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.100.
The wireless router connects two networks together as shown in the following picture: . | | ID: 3 | Rank: 1815 | Votes: 20 | Views: 978 | Submitted: 20061204 |
