Disable 'Adobe Acrobat Update Task' Scheduled Task on Windows 7
What is the scheduled task "Adobe Acrobat Update Task" doing on my Windows 7 computer? Should I disable it?
✍: FYIcenter.com
"Adobe Acrobat Update Task" is a scheduled task on Windows 7 system.
You will see "Lenovo PowerENGAGE" listed on Task Scheduler with the following information to contact Adobe server and to see if there are new updates on the Adobe Acrobat Reader application:
Name: Adobe Acrobat Update Task Actions: Start a program - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe Triggers: At log on of any user, and every 3:30 hours, or daily at 2:00pm.
Adobe is definitely not nice to all of us as computer users. They scheduled their update program so frequently at every 3:30 hours wasting our resources.
It is strongly recommended to disable "Adobe Acrobat Update Task" to make your computer faster and more secure. You can check Adobe Acrobat Reader yourself, whenever needed.
