wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files
What are wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files on my Windows 7 computer? Can I remove them?
✍: FYIcenter.com
wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files are created when download and install the WebEx program to join a Web conference meeting. They are located in the \Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Temp folder.
When you click the hyper link of WebEx meeting invite, your browser will prompt you to download and install the WebEx program. This will create a wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary File on your computer.
wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files are large files. They contain probably the entire WebEx program. For example:
02/10/2017 10:04 AM 20,971,520 wbxtra_02102017_100416.wbt 03/14/2017 07:33 AM 20,971,520 wbxtra_03142017_083351.wbt 03/21/2017 10:30 AM 20,971,520 wbxtra_03212017_113056.wbt
The problem with wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files is that each time you join a WebEx conference meeting, a new wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary File is created. So if you are using WebEx frequently, your hard disk will run out of space very soon.
Yes. You can delete wbxtra_*.wbt Temporary Files. They are useless, when your meeting is done.
