What are Download Program Files (DPF) for Internet Explorer (IE) 7 browser?

Download Program Files (DPF) are special programs loaded in your computer system whenever Internet Explorer (IE) browser. A good example of DPF is Java VM.

Download Program Files (DPF) are stored in a special folder called: "C:\windows\Downloaded Program Files". If you look at your DPF folder, you will see some DPF entries like these:
