Q

The defect is the following.
The screen is not repainted when animation is played inside Flash. That is Flash Player ActiveX keeps displaying still picture. When the Window is resized - the screen is propertly updated.

With the 32 bit apps on 64 bit Windows 8 Release Preview, the SWF will load and then stop updating. For a 64 bit app, it will just crash. This breaks Flash support for all of our products.

Installing of the Flash package directly from Adobe will fail.

I have read the IE10 embeds Flash code and this may be the cause of non-browser apps having problems and why the flash installer will not complete.

I have requested info from an Adobe contact regarding Flash support of non-browser applications in Windows 8. Also looking for a MS response.
