Having no success in watching any video on my Windows 8
I have had problems since i got my WIndows 8 Sony Vaio earlier this year.
The latest thing now is I am unable to watch any videos either ones through the DVD player or off the internet.
I can see about a milli second of each video playing but then no sound and the screen goes green.
I would appreciate any guidence in this and will point out that I have had laptops for a number of years but I do not have technical knowhow nor knowledge. I would therefore ask that any answer is in simple plain english. ( Eg. press this button now then that one and not what drives are on it? - Any plain speaking assistance with this or where i should go or whom should i ask would be most helpful.

The Video playback capability was removed from Windows 8.
If you have Windows 8 Pro you can purchase and install the Media Center add-on to play the videos or you can install any of the free third party media players.
