I can scan, but I can't print to my Samsung SCX 4284 FN. I have to transfer files to an old pc and print from there. Is there an easier way with Windows 8? I am OK with most Windows 8 stuff, but I need to print direct to the printer. I've tried the Samsung Website but there isn't an update for my printer.

Method 1: Let’s run the printer troubleshooter and check if that helps.

a) Move the mouse to the bottom left corner of the screen and right-click on the ‘Start’ icon and select ‘Control Panel’.
b) In the search box, type ‘Troubleshooter’, and then click ‘Troubleshooting’.
c) Click on ‘Hardware and Sound’ and select ‘Printer’and click on ‘next’ to run the troubleshooter.

Method 4: Since Windows 8 is a new release, there might not be applications designed for Windows 8. You can install application designed for Windows 7 in Windows 8 using the compatibility mode.
