svchost.exe - Service - Windows Time

Q

Can I disable Windows service "Windows Time" to speedup my computer?

A
Windows service "Windows Time" - Maintains date and time synchronization on all clients and servers in the network. If this service is stopped, date and time synchronization will be unavailable. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

Execution command: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

As a personal computer, you don't need to synchronize the time on your computer with any other computers. So you should disable "Windows Time", freeing up at least 1MB of memory.

Follow our Disabling Windows Service tutorial, if you want to disable this service.
