svchost.exe - Service - Workstation

Q

Can I disable Windows service "Workstation" to speedup my computer?

A
Windows service "Workstation" - Creates and maintains client network connections to remote servers. If this service is stopped, these connections will be unavailable. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

Execution command: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

This service is an important service, if you are on the local network, and needs local network services like network printers. So you should leave it running in "Automatic" mode.
