Windows 8 wireless problems

Q

Over the past few days, my wifi has been spotty at best. It is only my computer, and I have an Asus Q500a laptop. I will be online, or playing a game, and the wifi will randomly drop, but the computer says it is still connected to the wireless network. In order to fix this problem, I have to disconnect the wifi, and reconnect, and this takes several minutes. It also has all the wifi networks but mine checked for "Connect automatically." I have checked for driver updates, and nothing says it needs to be updated

This could be due to the outdated Wireless drivers on the computer. I would suggest you to follow these methods to fix the Wireless Connectivity issue on the computer.

Method 1: Wired and wireless network problems

I would suggest you to follow the steps in the article given below:

Wired and wireless network problems http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/network-connection-problem-help#network-problems=windows-81&v1h=win81tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

If the issue persists, you may try the next method.

Method 2: Why can’t I connect to a network?

I would suggest you to follow the steps in the article given below:

If the issue persists, try updating the WiFi Card drivers from the ASUS website.

Method 3: Update the WiFi Drivers from the ASUS website.

I would suggest you to go to ASUS website and download the updated Wireless card drivers and install them. You may download the drivers from this link:
