Windows 8 keeps crashing and going back to the login screen

Q

Every half hour or so, Windows 8 keeps crashing and going back to the login screen, the computer doesn't turn off, but it just crashes and shits down everything I had open. Then I log back in and it's as tho you've just started up the computer.

After that happens, when I shut down the computer and start it back up, it goes through bios and then the screen just goes black. Sometimes it makes it to the login screen but it flickers and does not allow for any input.

After a number of times of this happening, the computer has set itself into recovery mode and the problem still persists.

1. Are you using a Microsoft account or a Standard user account?
2. Do you have another account on this PC? If yes, do you face the same issue?
3. Are you aware of any changes made on the PC prior to this issue?

You maybe facing this issue if the account is corrupted or if the graphics card is corrupted or outdated.

As we are not sure what exactly is causing this issue, we may follow thse these methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: If you use Microsoft account, then I would suggest you to run Microsoft account troubleshooter and check the issue. Here is the link for your reference.

Method 2:
If that does not help, then I would suggest you to update the display drivers and check if the issue persists:

a. Press Windows key + X, choose Device manger.

b. Expand Display adapters, right-click on device and click on Update driver software.
