Recovery for Samsung NF 310 is asking for installation media and I don't have it
My netbook is working so sluggishly, it's basically unusable. I at one point installed 8.1 on it (it came with 7), so I thought to restore it to its factory settings. However, when I try to do this it "prepares," then says that "Files Are Missing" and to "insert media." I have no media to insert, and there's no "proceed anyway" button: just Cancel, so I'm stuck on that step. How can I proceed when I don't have the original installation kit?

Factory Settings reinstalls Windows 7.
This was the way to do it, but installing 8.1 in all probability has made this method un-useable/inaccessible:

Your other option is to order Windows 7 Recovery media from Samsung and being a Netbook, get USB Recovery Media.
