Task Manager shows Bluetooth Not Connected

Q

Computer: Acer Aspire|M

OS: Win 8 OEM

Bluetooth: built-in

The Bluetooth section of Windows 8 Task Manager doesn't work. It says Bluetooth Not Connected and I am using a Bluetooth mouse. When I look at my devices I see my Bluetooth Optic Mouse, and when I turn on the Bluetooth on my Android phone, it also shows up on the list. Why then does the Task Manager say Bluetooth is not connected? (BTW, Bluetooth is turned on under Wireless settings)

The reason why task manager says it is not connected is because it is not connected. This connection phase is for networking not for HID's (Human interface devices) - mice, keyboards, speakers and phones connected as audio devices. When your phone or other device is connected to your computer with a PAN (personal area network) - when it is transferring files - then it will show as being connected. Edited twice for clarity.
