Removing "AppData\LocalLow" Files on Windows 10
What files are stored in the "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\LocalLow" folder? Can I delete them?
✍: FYIcenter.com
Files stored in the
"C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\LocalLow"
folder are files created by applications to store
configuration settings, temporary files, and data specific to each application.
Files stored in "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\LocalLow" folder are "local" to this computer only. They will not be shared with other computers even your login account is a network account.
Comparing to "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local", "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\LocalLow" is more protected. For example, if you're running a web browser in a protected or safe mode, the app will only be able access data from the LocalLow folder.
Files in this folder are organized into sub folders, one sub folder for each application. If you have an application that you are not use it any more, you should delete its sub folder.
For example, if you have uninstalled all Yahoo! applications, you can remove the "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\LocalLow\Yahoo!" folder.
