  • Authorization Manager - Improved in the Windows Server® 2008 operating system with several new features and improvements. Authorization Manager provides a flexible framework for integrating role-based access control into applications.
  • Windows System Resource Manager (WSRM) - Provides resource management and can be used to control the amount of resources a process or a user can use based on business priorities.
  • Security Configuration Wizard (SCW) - To reduce the attack surface of a computer running the Windows Server® 2008 operating system by customizing the security settings of server roles.
  • User Account Control (UAC) - A new security component of the Windows Server® 2008 and Windows Vista® operating systems.
  • Diskshadow.exe - A command-line tool that exposes the functionality provided by the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
