How to view Windows version and build number of my Windows Server 2008?

If you want to know the Windows version and build number of a Windows Server 2008 system,
you can follow these steps to view system properties:
1. Open the PowerShell command window, and type in the "winver" command as shown below. You will see the "About Windows" screen displayed.
PS C:\Users\fyicenter> winver
2. Review the information on the screen. For example:
Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows Server
Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
