How to perform a quick scan with Windows Defender?

You can follow this tutorial to perform a quick scan of your Windows 8 computer
with Windows Defender.
1. Search "Windows Defender" and run it.
2. Click on "Home" tab.
3. Select "Quick" and click "Scan now" on the right panel.
4. Wait for the scan to finish.
Windows Defender may display the following message back:
Scan completed on 18542 items. No threats were detected on your PC during this scan.
