How to perform a full scan with Windows Defender?

You can follow this tutorial to perform a full scan of your Windows 8 computer
with Windows Defender.
1. Search "Windows Defender" and run it.
2. Click on "Home" tab.
3. Select "Full" and click "Scan now" on the right panel.
4. Wait for the scan to finish. It may take more than 2 hours.
5. Read the message displayed back by Windows Defender:
Scan completed on 1286050 items. This app detected a potential threat on your PC.
