1. Click Start > Others > Windows Messenger
2. Click menu Tools > Options. Options dialog box shows up.
3. Click tab Preferences. Uncheck the check box of "Run this program when Windows starts". Uncheck the check box of "Allow this program to run in the background".
4. Restart your Windows system.
