How can I use Microsoft Update Web site to see updates available to my Windows system?

Setting up access to Microsoft Update Web site on Windows XP can be done in 3 steps:
1. Run Internet Explorer (IE) and go to Microsoft Update Web site at: http://update.microsoft.com
2. This Web site requires you to install an IE addon program. Follow the instructions to install the addon, Microsoft Update ActiveX control.
3. Once the Microsoft Update ActiveX is installed,
Microsoft Update Web site displays all
updates that are available to your Windows system
as shown in the picture below:
