Unable to remove or set my contacts in the People app.

Original title: People list settings.
I can't remove any names from my contact list or people list. Also, I cannot set my list to last name first and sort according to last name.

You could try running the System File checker that should get your app back. When you uninstall one of these Mail, Messaging, People and Calendar they all will uninstall. When anyone is reinstalled they all will come back.
Run System File Checker
1. Type cmd on the Start screen.
2. Right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
3. Type the following command and press Enter:
sfc /scannow
