Change domain password in Windows 8

Q

Under Windows 7 this was easy: Ctrl+Alt+Del, In the logon screen Type the username with the domain and Change Password. This doesn't exist anymore in Windows 8. How do I change the password of a domain my pc is not current member of?

As per the description, you want to change the domain password in Windows 8. I'll definitely help you.

Whenever a user account is created in Windows 8 a password is assigned to the account by the administrator of the operating system. However if users want they can change their passwords according to their needs. Settings for whether users can change their passwords on their own or they need to request the administrators to do so can be configured by the administrator(s) only.

Whatsoever the case is, if as a Windows 8 user you want to change your password you are required to follow the steps given as below:

1. Logon to the computer on which Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is installed.

2. Type Control Panel on start page

3. From the available options on the screen click on Control Panel.

4. On the opened window in the left pane click on Users option.

5. From the right pane click on Change your password option available under Your account label.

6. On Change your password page type in your current password in the available field and click on Next button.

7. On the next Window type and re-type your new password along with the password hint in New password, Retype password and Password hint fields respectively and click on Next button.

8. On the next Window click on Finish button to save the changes.
