Removing "AppData\Roaming" Files on Windows 7
What files are stored in the "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming" folder? Can I delete them?
✍: FYIcenter.com
Files stored in the
"C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming"
folder are files created by applications to store
configuration settings, temporary files, and data specific to each application.
Files stored in "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming" folder are shared with other computers if you login with the same network account. In order to be shared, Windows is "Roaming" these files to a center server. So you should this folder as clean as possible to avoid files getting to other computers.
Files in this folder are organized into sub folders, one sub folder for each application. If you have an application that you are not use it any more, you should delete its sub folder.
For example, if you have uninstalled "SQL Developer" application, you can remove the "C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer" folder.
