Startup application GoogleDesktop.exe is a desktop search application
that provide full text search over your email, documents, files, and
cached Web pages.
GoogleDesktop.exe actually runs two background processes: GoogleDesktopCrawl.exe
and GoogleDesktopIndex.exe, which use CPU and memory resources regularly.
You should consider remove GoogleDesktop.exe if you need to gain some extra performance.
You can always run GoogleDesktop.exe manually from
Start > Programs > Google Desktop > Google Desktop.
