svchost.exe - Service - Upload Manager

Q

Can I disable Windows service "Upload Manager" to speedup my computer?

✍: FYIcenter.com

A
Windows service "Upload Manager" - Manages synchronous and asynchronous file transfers between clients and servers on the network. If this service is stopped, synchronous and asynchronous file transfers between clients and servers on the network will not occur. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

Execution command: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

It is actually a security risk to allow other computer to transfer files from or to your computer. So you should disable "Upload Manager".

Follow our Disabling Windows Service tutorial, if you want to disable this service.
