How to transfer iTunes music & account to new computer? (Windows 8)

I just got the new Microsoft Windows 8 laptop for college. I had a previous iTunes account on my old computer at home. I also have an iPhone, so I am able to buy songs.. but not back them up to my computer, obviously, because I am six hours from my old computer.
Can someone please help me figure out how to transfer the music from my account on the old computer to this computer? I don't know what else to do. I'm afraid I'll lose all my music if I try it myself.
