Upgrade to windows 8 pro without media center

Q

I have to upgrade 2 machines from windows 8 to windows 8 pro. software that I need to run on the machines will only run on windows 8 pro. will not run with media center installed nor will it run with 8.1. I purchased the upgrade key for windows pro but do not see an option for not installing media center along with it. any help would be appreciated.
