Reset windows 8 and but haven't got correct product key.

I purchased a used HP Pavilion desktop, and decided it would be best to reset the settings back to factory before I start using it. Unfortunately, I did so and then found I don't have the Windows 8 product key for it, and nor does the seller. The reset process is halfway through but I'm unsure how to proceed when I get to the part where it asks for the key.

There usually is a setting you can select to skip entering the key until later to continue the reset to factory settings. The key is embedded in the bios if win 8 was the original factory installed operating system and it should not require the key.
