How come I can't put music on my mp3 player from Windows Media Player?
I got an mp3 player but when I plug it into my laptop it doesn't read it. I would really like to add music on it but I can't seem to. What is the problem

Have you made any significant changes prior to this issue?
What is the USB driver status showing under Control Panel?
What is the make and model of you Mp3 player?
What is the make and model of your computer?
Are other USB devices working on your computer?
I would suggest you to follow the methods given below and check.
In first place check if your computer detects the Mp3 player? Follow the steps to check that.
Press Windows and x key on the start screen and select Device Manager.
Locate the Universal Serial Bus controllers and expand it.
Check if your Mp3 player is getting detected there.
Method 1:I would suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and check for the issue. Hardware and Device Troubleshooter checks for any issue on the hardware and devices connected to the computer.
Run the Hardware troubleshooter and check.

If issue didn’t get resolve try method 2.
Method 2: I would suggest you to run the fixit and check.
